The X-Files: "Babylon" (February 15, 2016)

In “Babylon,” a young Muslim man in Texas -- an apparent terrorist -- is involved in the suicide bombing of Ziggurat, a local art gallery displaying controversial imagery. This young man, Shiraz (Artin John) survives the deadly blast, but does not awake from a coma afterwards. This is a grave concern because he is the only person living with information about a terror cell operating in the area. Investigating the case, FBI agents Miller (Robbie Amell) and Einstein (Lauren Ambrose) seek the assistance of Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) in communicating with t ... Chris Carter previews last two X-Files episodes

They involve some dancing.

We already revealed that Monday’s episode of The X-Files will feature an appearance by fan-favorite characters the Lone Gunmen. They appear as part of what X-Files creator Chris Carter describes as “a presumed psychedelic hallucination.” That same apparent hallucination also sees Special Agent Mulder (David Duchovny) hitting the dance floor for a rather elaborate routine – set to Billy Ray Cyrus’ “Achy Breaky Heart.” Carter wrote and directed the episode, and talked to us about that dance number and the episode’s special guest star ... Gillian Anderson: 'I've never been romantically involved with David Duchovny’

Gillian Anderson has never been busier – so why go back to the role that made her famous?

I’m 20 minutes early for my interview with Gillian Anderson, which is not as good an idea as it seems. She arrives in the bar of the North London hotel just minutes after I do and raises a perfect eyebrow to find me clutching a heap of scribbled notes that say things like Money! and Killers? and Duchovny. But then Anderson’s presence, I suspect, could make almost anyone feel untidy.  Blonde, compact and minimally dressed in black and cream, she has all the cool self-possession and gravitas of Stella Gibson, the police inspector she plays in The Fall – who, as it turns o ... X-Files first look: The Lone Gunmen return!

Let Chris Carter explain.

On Monday, the X-Files revival welcomes a few fan-favorite characters from the original series. Surely you recall Byers, Langly, and Frohike, the conspiracy nuts collectively known as the Lone Gunmen? The trio proved so popular with fans of the original show that they actually got their own short-lived spin-off series, The Lone Gunmen. After the show’s cancellation, the characters returned in a season 9 episode of The X-Files. And … well, they died. So, how it is possible that Bruce Harwood, Tom Braidwood, and Dean Haglund are back on The X-Files in ... [Continua a leggere]

The X-Files: "Home Again" (February 8, 2016)

In “Home Again,” Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) investigate the brutal murder of a HUD official, Joseph Cutler (Alessandro Juliani) who was attempting to forcibly relocate a group of homeless people in Philadelphia. His body was discovered… pulled apart…with his head discarded in a trash can. While Mulder pursues a lead involving a street artist, Scully is called back to Washington D.C. because of terrible personal news. Her mother, Margaret (Sheila Larken), has suffered a devastating heart attack and is near death. But efore slipping into un ... [Continua a leggere]

X-Files writer on Monday night's huge spoiler

'I just felt that was worth exploring on a show like this,' Morgan tells EW

Warning: This story contains spoilers from Monday’s episode of The X-Files. EW talked to writer-director Glen Morgan about why this was Maggie’s time, the message she needed to send to Mulder, and which trilogy of episodes “Home Again” completes. ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: Fr ... David Duchovny: ‘I can't play Mulder the way I did. That would be obscene’

As The X-Files returns, David Duchovny talks about feeling vulnerable, those Gillian Anderson rumours – and why he and his co-star should be paid the same

A small crowd has gathered in front of the Fox theatre on Hollywood Boulevard. Carrying rolled-up copies of Variety magazine and holding up mobile phone cameras, they press their flesh as close to the metal barricade as possible. They are here to see David Duchovny, most famous for the newly resurrected science-fiction drama The X-Files, whose star is being unveiled on the Walk of Fame today. Duchovny’s closest confidantes are here, too – X-Files creator Chris Carter, Californication co-star Pamela Adlon, his manager Melanie Green, his brother – but they’re outnumbered ... The X-Files Star Gillian Anderson's Favorite Thing About Scully Is...

Gillian Anderson has spent a lot of time with The X-Files' Special Agent Dana Scully. We're talking 23 years, 200+ episodes, two feature films, and now a six-episode event series. But there were seven years between the last film and the revival miniseries, so you can understand why Anderson forgot what she really loved about the redhead skeptic. "What I've come to appreciate of her, in light of a lot of the other tough female characters I've played—and I forgot this about her until coming back to it—is there's a lightness and a playfulness and a girlishness that I don't really hav ... The X-Files: "Mulder and Scully Meet The Were-Monster" (February 1, 2016)

Typically, The X-Files concerns two dueling viewpoints or philosophies. We can understand the world through Romantic principles (belief and faith); and these ideas are usually expressed in the series by Mulder. Or we can experience and comprehend our reality via the tenets of the Enlightenment: science and reason.  Most often, Scully is our voice for this world-view. Sometimes -- such as those occasions when Christianity is involved -- these roles and viewpoints are reversed. But there is a third philosophy that viewers encounter in The X-Files, particularly in the catalog of writer ... [Continua a leggere]

The X-Files Loves Kim Manners (And So Do We)

This week's episode of The X-Files paid tribute to the man who made the franchise what it is today. Did you catch it?

That graveyard scene near the end of “Mulder and Scully Meet the Were-Monster” has become one of the most classic moments in X-Files history overnight - literally. Not only was it a heartwarmingly thought-provoking deconstruction of the bizarre purposelessness of human life in the digital age, but it was also freakin’ hilarious to boot. Cheeky social commentary aside, it’s also a moving tribute to the man who put the The X-Files on the map: legendary TV director Kim Manners, whose name appears in bold on the headstone Mulder stands (and drinks) in front of. Manners dir ... [Continua a leggere]

Conference Call with Chris Carter

Transcript (Slight adjustments were made to cut out issues with audio interference.) Moderator: Our first question comes from the line of Jamie Ruby with SciFi Vision. Please go ahead. Jamie: SciFi Vision. Hi, Chris. Thanks for talking to us. Really appreciate it. Great to talk to you again. CC: You’re welcome. Jamie: First, I just want to say I’ve been a huge fan of the show from the beginning. I really loved the first three episodes that they let us watch. My first question kind of is a part from the old series, a part from the new series. It kind of goes with both. I was won ... [Continua a leggere]

[Continua a leggere]

X-Files: Recensione episodio 3 La lucertola mannara

[Continua a leggere]
