Chi ****o è questo tipo? E' David Duchovny

Dopo averlo seguito nella leggendaria serie X-Files e nella controversa Californication, lo abbiamo ben identificato. Di seguito, una intervista esclusiva per Esquire.

Questa intervista è stata una specie di appuntamento con accompagnatore. Appuntamento professionale e a lunga distanza, è chiaro. Dopo avergli assicu ... Are 20th Century Fox Close To Greenlighting A Third X-Files Film?

Thanks to a dedicated fan campaign, are Fox close to ordering a third feature film adaptation of The X-Files?

In July 2008, 20th Century Fox released The X-Files: I Want To Believe, the second feature film adaptation of Fox’s long running science fiction television series. The film, which was received poorly in the United States, tanked at the box office; bringing in only 21 million dollars, domestically. Despite that, rumours have persisted that a third X-Files film was in development. What’s the real story, are Fox really interested in producing a third film? Is the truth out there? The X-Files First a little background. The series was created by Chris Carter and ran on the Fox ... [Continua a leggere]

Chris Carter Confirms The X-Files 3 is in Discussion!

Last March, Fox All Access claimed that discussions for a third X-Files film were indeed happening. While X-Philes everywhere wanted to believe, skepticism naturally took hold of some. Whether we believed FAA or not, fans were still looking for confirmation from X-Files creator Chris Carter or someone who would be in the know. As it turns out, fans finally got an answer today at a charity event held by IBG Inc. (Inspire-Believe-Give) in Beverly Hills, CA where a Q&A session was held with X-Files actress Gillian Anderson and her former co-star David Duchovny, with Chris Carter arriving l ... A Three-Minute X-Files Reunion With David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson

David & Gillian #2

We knew we’d get to see Agent Mulder in the flesh on Monday when we attended former X-Files star David Duchovny’s theatrical debut in the Off Broadway production of Neil LaBute’s The Break of Noon, about a man who survives an office shooting and finds God. But what we didn’t expect was to see Agent Scully (a.k.a. Gillian Anderson) by his side in the intensely crowded opening-night after-party. We grabbed them for a hot three minutes in between their mingling with old friends Ben Stiller, Garry Shandling, and Duchovny’s wife, Téa Leoni. How often do you see ... [Continua a leggere]

'X' man's evolution

David Duchovny talks marriage, regret and how he’s put the past behind him

Talk about moving out of your comfort zone. For his stage debut, David Duchovny chose Neil LaBute’s “The Break of Noon” — which features the former FBI Special Agent Fox Mulder in every scene of its intermissionless run. “It’s an hour and 35 minutes of me, pretty much,” Duchovny tells The Post. “Nobody can stand much more than that.” The boyish-looking 50-year-old grew up in Manhattan. He graduated from Princeton University and was well on his way to a doctorate in English lit from Yale when he started acting. After “The X-Fil ... [Continua a leggere]

David Duchovny to Make Stage Debut in LaBute Play

Over the course of David Duchovny’s acting career his characters have gone to some unusual places, from the alien environs of “The X-Files” to many a Los Angeles bedroom on “Californication.” But there is one place Mr. Duchovny has never been: on the stage in a professional capacity. (“Not professional,” he said in a telephone interview. “Very unprofessional.”) That’s about to change. On Wednesday, MCC Theater said Mr. Duchovny would make his proper stage debut in its coming production of “The Break of Noon,” a new pla ... [Continua a leggere]

David Duchovny to star in Neil LaBute's 'The Break of Noon'

David Duchovny is set to swap the profane, West Coast world of Showtime's "Californication" for the equally profane and obscene universe of playwright Neil LaBute in New York. The screen star will play the lead role in LaBute's new play "The Break of Noon," which is set to open at the off-Broadway Lucille Lortel Theatre in New York in October. The drama is a co-production with New York's MCC Theatre and L.A.'s Geffen Playhouse. The play is set to open in L.A. in February. Duchovny hasn't been confirmed for the L.A. cast. A spokeswoman for the Geffen said that the two theater companies ... [Continua a leggere]

David Duchovny lives a new, calmer life after trying times

LOS ANGELES — David Duchovny says he's a changed man. "I'm filled with humility and gratitude," says the actor, who shot to fame on The X Files before being treated for sex addiction in 2008. "Before, I was focused on winning and deserving. I would say, 'Oh, I deserve that.' That's not grateful. Grateful is, 'Wow. I'm lucky. That's fantastic.' " Duchovny, who turns 50 in August, is sitting in a West Hollywood hotel suite discussing his new film, The Joneses (in theaters Friday). He plays Demi Moore's fake husband in this romantic comedy/biting satire about stealth marketing. As he d ... [Continua a leggere]

David Duchovny On Playing House With Demi Moore, More 'X-Files' -- And Toilets

In 'The Joneses,' David Duchovny plays Steve, a father and a husband living the good life in the suburbs. Everything in his life is perfect ... except for the fact that it's all a lie. Steve is part of a made-up family, given every possible luxury product, and sent in to become role models for the rest of the town. The goal? To make everyone envy them enough to go out and buy those products. (It's such a diabolically brilliant marketing scheme that you have to wonder why it hasn't been tried yet.) We spoke to Duchovny at the press day for 'The Joneses,' where he talked about the fil ... [Continua a leggere]

David Duchovny Would 'Love' To Make A Third 'X-Files' Film

'I am so proud of that franchise,' he tells MTV News.

BEVERLY HILLS — In his new movie "The Joneses," David Duchovny plays a salesman given a cushy (if somewhat unethical) job: He and his phony "family" move into a posh neighborhood and make everyone jealous of their toys, causing them to buy products that line the pockets of his employers. Several scenes talk about the so-called "ripple effect," something with which Duchovny is intimately familiar. Nearly a decade after the show that made him famous went off the air, Duchovny's work on "The X-Files" is still sending ripples all over the world. And with that in mind, the veteran act ... David Duchovny's XXX Files

The Californication star on sex addiction, Nietzsche and secondary infections.

Q: This spring you're starring in a movie called The Joneses, in which you play the "father" of a cool but fake family that a corporation assembles to coax their neighbors into buying stuff. I suppose a lot of celebrities do the same thing. A: Yeah, sure. I haven't sold that much. But the culture that's embracing Twilight and Paranormal Activity and District 9 and 2012—you could kind of say that The X-Files sold that. Q: You helped release a media virus. A: Exactly. And now it's reinfected people. I guess it went dormant for a while. Q: You passed through a period of genuine pop-cu ... [Continua a leggere]

Duchovny's Commanding Second Act

David Duchovny, star of Californication, on his literary ambitions, making a third X-Files movie, and his quest for an “uncensored id.”

Very few actors manage to create a Zeitgeist-defining character, let alone two, but David Duchovny—best known for playing alien-obsessed Special Agent Fox Mulder on The X-Files—has defied the odds with the Showtime original series Californication, which earned him a second Golden Globe for his portrayal of misanthropic, sex-addled novelist Hank Moody. The role was largely informed by Duchovny’s time as a Yale doctoral student in his 20s, a decade before he became a household name. “I envisioned that as my life: staying in academia to make a living and then takin ...
