Fox Boss Gary Newman on a Potential X-FILES Revival

Fox Television Group Chairman and CEO, Gary Newman, told reporters at the end of the Fox TCA exec session that there were early talks about potentially bringing X-FILES back for an event series.

After the panel, when Newman spoke with reporters, I asked him what the progress was of a potential series, and who would actually be attached.

“What I can say is that if this happens, it’ll be with David [Duchovny (Mulder)] and Gillian [Anderson (Scully)] reprising their roles,” Newman said. “[X-FILES creator] Chris [Carter] is interest, both David and Gillian are interested. Scheduling is very difficult. David has his show, Gillian is doing something in the UK. I really don’t know how fast it can happen, but there are ongoing conversation happening.”

So, um…anyone else excited?!
