Gillian Anderson Joins the Cast of Hannibal

The X-Files' Gillian Anderson (Agent Scully) is the latest actress to join the cast of NBC's Hannibal, which is currently shooting. According to Entertainment Weekly, she'll play Hannibal Lecter's therapist!  Her role will carry her through a few episodes, says the site. Mads Mikkelsen, Hugh Dancy and Laurence Fishburne star in the series as Lecter, Will Graham and Jack Crawford, respectively. Hannibal will air sometime in 2013. The actress is poised to return to broadcast television with a multiple-episode role in NBC's Bryan Fuller Hannibal drama, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Satellite Awards Nominates 10 Films for Best Motion Picture

The International Press Academy will hold its awards dinner, recognizing film and TV in 31 categories, on Dec. 16.

Ten movies have been nominated as best motion picture by the International Press Academy, which announced nominees for its 17th annual Satellite Awards on Monday. The organization, composed of entertainment journalists for both domestic and foreign outlets, rounded up an electric group of films that includes Argo, Silver Linings Playbook, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Les Miserables, Skyfall, Moonrise Kingdom, The Sessions, Lincoln, Life of Pi and Zero Dark Thirty. Kolkata seems to have caught the fancy of Oscar-winning director Jeffrey D Brown, who has been spotted shooting his first fiction feature film at different locales in the City of Joy.
