‘The X-Files’ Creator Chris Carter on Scully and Mulder’s Return

Here's what he's got planned for the sci-fi phenomenon's return to television.

First Twin Peaks was supposedly resurrected, and now the other greatest ‘90s supernatural thriller is making a comeback. On Tuesday, Fox announced a limited 6-episode “event” of their beloved X-Files. Helmed by original series creator Chris Carter, the new miniseries will be bolstered by David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, the dynamic duo that chase down paranormal cases left in the FBI files, often to the chagrin of shadowy government forces. “The X-Files was not only a seminal show for both the studio and the netwo ... Fox Is Really, Really Close To Greenlighting Its ‘X-Files’ Revival

Back in January, confirmation surfaced from Fox that discussions were underway for a potential revival of The X-Files — similar to the network’s 24: Live Another Day event series. Since then, talks have remained just that — talks. There’s still no active greenlight for the series, but some new reports say that may soon change. Per sources, the network has settled on a “short-stack” order for the revival and while the exact size of the order is yet-to-be-determined, I’m told it will be less than ten episodes (though I can’t confi ... X-Files (in originale The X-Files), la serie televisiva statunitense, ideata da Chris Carter, che a partire dal 1993 guadagnò uno status di culto paragonabile a quello di Twin Peaks, potrebbe tornare sul piccolo schermo.

IGN was able to follow-up with Walden with a small group of reporters, to see how close they were to actually striking a deal. "You know who we're dealing with, do you think I can elaborate???" Walden laughed, when asked if she could say a little more about where they are in the process. Adding, "Gary and I both worked through the entire run of the X-Files. It was a great experience, we've maintained g ... [Continua a leggere]
