Gillian Anderson, David Duchovny, Chris Carter - SciFi Wire

CC: The show has been off the air for six years, but we actually think that has whetted appetites for the movie. So hopefully there will be word-of-mouth, hopefully people will know this franchise, The X-Files, hopefully they’ll come because it’s good story telling and it’s a big summer movie.GA: It was more exhausting the first time around we fitted it between the hiatuses of the series.DD: That was not good for anyone.GA: That was horrendous, this was pleasurable.DD: We went out, publicizing the movie, told people they didn’t have to have knowledge of the show, and th ... Now that the title of The X-Files: I Want to Believe has been released, it can be revealed that SCI FI Wire and a group of journalists visited the movie's set in Vancouver, Canada, in February and saw that the source of that title will appear in a key scene: When Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) reunites with her former FBI partner, Fox Mulder (David Duchovny). Carter Offers X-Files Hints

"This movie takes some of the most, I think, essential themes of The X-Files and incorporates them and puts them to the test," Carter said in a group interview at WonderCon in San Francisco on Feb. 23. "I think that for me, so much of The X-Files was about skepticism, but it was also about faith, and I think that plays a big part [in] this movie." The plotline of the as-yet-unnamed sequel remains a big secret--so much so that neither ... [Continua a leggere]

Anderson Finds Scully Again

Gillian Anderson, who reprises the role of FBI agent Dana Scully in the upcoming sequel to The X-Files film, told SCI FI Wire that it took her a while to reacquaint herself with the character she last played in 2002, when the long-running Fox TV series went off the air. Anderson strove over the intervening years to distance herself from the character with which she had been associated for so long to the point that it took her about two days to allow Scully to re-emerge, she said. "It's an interesting conundrum to deal with on a daily basis, and sometimes it's pleasurable, and sometimes it's ju ... [Continua a leggere]
