X-Files characters could come back from ‘dead’

Local actors made their marks in five B.C.-filmed seasons

A steady throng of Vancouver actors turned up as guest stars during five B.C.-filmed seasons of The X-Files. The more memorable among them were brought back as recurring characters. Not even onscreen deaths will keep some of those recurring characters from showing up again in the upcoming six-episode X-Files reboot. “As we say on The X-Files, even when you’re dead you’re not dead,” Carter said. “I can tell you that there’s a distinct possibility that you will be seeing many of the regulars that you came to know, whom we cast in Vancouver.” Carter li ... Chris Carter Can’t Act

The X-Files Lexicon was lucky enough to gain a spot on the press line before the X-Files panel at Paleyfest in Hollywood on Wednesday, March 25, 2008. For some cast members, it was a first reunion since the show ended. Everybody was in good spirits and eager to talk with us. But as usual, the brain trust, Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz, were tight-lipped regarding any details about the upcoming X-Files movie. Here’s how it panned out. 1) FRANK SPOTNITZ and CHRIS CARTER Lisa: Which episodes, if any, does the new movie share its tone with? FS: I have to say, there is no episode exactly li ... The Truth Is Out There at PaleyFest

Though the show they love has lain dormant for six years, fans turned out in droves Wednesday night to the PaleyFest to reanimate “The X-Files.” Like, say, a zombie. Or a golem. Or a giant human liver fluke. During the clip reel of the nine-season show, “X-Philes” cheered for sci-fi Heathcliff Fox Mulder and savvy strawberry Sno-Cone Dana Scully. Things got especially rowdy in the seats when the two locked lips, a kiss that ended nearly a decade of sexual tension that had become as thick as ectoplasm. On hand to expose the truth were creator Chris Carter; producers Ho ... [Continua a leggere]

'X-Files' Sequel: Castmembers, Celeb Fans Want More Mulder-Scully Action, Less Black Oil

Everyone from offed villain Nicolas Lea to longtime viewer Seth Rogen has something to say about the 2008 movie.

with additional reporting by Brian Jacks and Josh Horowitz They've been screaming "We want to believe!" for years — but fans of "The X-Files" finally have something real to crow about, with news last month that the seminal TV series is making its way back to theaters in 2008. "Finally!" is how Nicolas Lea, who played baddie Alex Krycek, reacted to the announcement. "This story had been percolating for a long time. I feel like if this movie has half the quality and integrity of the series, it will pull in not only past fans of the show, but a whole new generation of X-Philes." His sen ... [Continua a leggere]

Secrets and Lies

No more guessing, no more theories – X-Files creator Chris Carter says he’s finally blowing the lid off TV’s longest-running conspiracy. but where do Mulder and Scully go from here?

X-Files actors live in mortal fear of it: the big kiss-off from series creator Chris Carter. The bell doesn’t toll often for regular characters (among the unlucky few: Deep Throat, X and Bill Mulder), but the possibility hovers, like an alien spaceship, over the cast. For one actor, the phone rang days before shooting began on a momentous two-parter (airing Feb. 7 and 14), a sweeps event that Fox is trumpeting as “The X Files conspiracy…exposed!” Divulging the identity of the doomed player would, of course, ruin the second episode’s penultimate shoc ... Saranno SeX-files?

Chris Cart ... [Continua a leggere]
