INT: Gillian Anderson

I'd just spent a few hours listening Gillian Anderson film a scene on THE X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE. Sadly all I could hear were loud footsteps and a slammed door (which Anderson would later say was just an accident). I thought for sure I could get her to spill the beans. While slightly more forthcoming than her counterparts, Anderson stopped short of telling me exactly what she was doing back there. (Lucky for you, I later was able to sneak a peek at that very scene - more on that to come at a later day...) Anderson looked as beautiful as ever, years after she was one of the most a ... Anderson Answers X-Files Queries

Anderson talks from the set of X-Files 2.

As far as sci-fi heroines go, there aren't many more famous than Dana Scully. The longtime skeptic provided the perfect fulcrum for Fox Mulder's diehard believer, and formed the other half of one of TV's most famous and successful partnerships. Now, some 15 years after she was first created, Scully is back and -- thankfully -- with Gillian Anderson in tow. Along with a small group of online and international journalists, IGN visited the set of the upcoming X-Files sequel and spoke to key members of the cast and crew, including Anderson. In addition to discussing her overdue return to th ... [Continua a leggere]

On Set Interview: Gillian Anderson Returns as Agent Scully!

The IESB sat down with Gillian Anderson on the set of The X-Files in Vancouver earlier this year to talk about returning to the role that changed her life and what she has planned for the future.

Anderson made redheads all the rage in the '90's as straight-faced Agent Scully and has returned to the role with a renewed sense of purpose and excitement. Read Gillian's on set interview with the IESB and the visiting group of journalists below. Q: A friend of mine is a big fan… Gillian Anderson: A friend of yours!? What was your question? Q: She followed the whole show and she said, "I thought Gillian wanted to go off and do these things in England and have this whole different career and wanted to leave The X-Files behind." GA: Well, I did. And I did. But I think I've made it pr ... [Continua a leggere]

'X-FILES 2' DAY: Interviewing Gillian Anderson

The lovely lady also known as Scully

We've been anticipating the interview with Gillian Anderson all day. After all, the majority of us are men. Geeks. Nerds. And a few mutants perhaps. Several of us young enough to have tacked a pinup of her on our bedroom wall during high school or college. I did. And to this day I still have a fondness for red heads… in business suits. I don't know what to expect when she joins us at the round table. Perhaps there'll be an absolute collapse of professionalism and Gillian will be confronted by a dozen crazed, drool-choked fanboys asking her to autograph their flabby chests. I had ... Interview: The X-Files' Gillian Anderson

ShockTillYouDrop.com spoke to Gillian Anderson on the set of Fox's new X-Files sequel, opening in theaters on July 25th.

ShockTillYouDrop.com: Why return to the X-Files after all of this time?Gillian Anderson: I think that I've always made it pretty clear, no matter what has been rumored in the press, that were we to come together, or were somebody to get it together to do a film, that I would be happy, willing and hopefully able to participate. There were a few times there where it looked like it might not happen, but there are many times when I, when people were saying it was going to happen, didn't believe it was going to happen. I was always on board, no matter else what I was doing at my time in my life.Sho ... [Continua a leggere]

Gillian Anderson Interview - X-Files Movie 2008 Wonder Con

Gillian Anderson was filming the still-untitled X-Files movie into the early morning hours and then had to hop on a plane to San Francisco for Wonder Con. That long schedule didn't keep Anderson from chatting enthusiastically about the new film. How does that feel when you walk out on the stage and everyone screams? Gillian Anderson: "It's been a really long time since I've heard that so it's, you know, it's cool. It's great that everybody's made the effort to come out and just show their support. I think it's good for us to know that there's still an audience out there." Did you doubt that? ... [Continua a leggere]

During this weekend's Wondercon MovieWeb was able to go behind-the-scenes of the convention floor to have a secret little chat with actor David Duchonvy and actress Gillian Anderson to talk about coming back to The X-Files after a 6 year hiatus from the show ended. The truth follows...Earlier it was stated that we get to see the characters in a whole new way...David Duchovny: In the general sense, there's a journey to be had. You either start at the top or the bottom for a journey to happen. Our movie has to start at the top and work it's way down. Or start at the bottom and work it's way up.H ... [Continua a leggere]

WonderCon: The X-Files 2 Panel; Plus RT's Interview with David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson!

We have movie clip impressions along with a chat with the stars!

Snow and FBI agents with sticks -- that's pretty much all that can be said of the 20th Century Fox footage that was revealed at WonderCon this weekend for The X-Files 2. The first look at the onscreen reunion of agents Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) began with a shot of Scottish actor Billy Connolly uttering, "It's here..." as a team of FBI agents prodded a snow-covered field with long sticks in search of, uh, the truth? Before the audience was even able to wrap its collective brain around what could possibly be buried in the snow, the teaser cut to a number of ... [Continua a leggere]

Get ready, X-Files fans. Series creator Chris Carter and original stars David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson have heard your prayers for more tales of agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, and they're about to answer them! The three genre legends appeared at Wondercon earlier today, and offered FEARnet, and the con's other attendees, the first glimpse of footage shown anywhere of the second X-Files film, due out in theaters this July. The footage was brief, running just two or three minutes, and was crudely edited (though Carter, later backstage, referring to it as a trailer, explained that even h ... [Continua a leggere]

WonderCon 2008: Day 2 - Part 2!

The X Files 2 Frank Spotnitz - Chris Carter - David Duchovny - Gillian Anderson

The tag for the day was "It's here!"Showed trailer for movie. Trailer didn't show much. Overuse of quick cut scenes don't tell you very much. Only saw Amanda Peet, Billy Connolly, David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson. The trailer opens up with line of FBI/Police with dogs and long sticks searching a large "snow covered meadow". Billy Connolly is in front saying, "It's here." Repeatedly. Several quick cuts from other scenes, show other three actors, and it keeps coming back to Connolly's character moving through the meadow saying "It's here." He gets progressively louder and more strident, and f ... [Continua a leggere]

WONDERCON: X-FILES PANEL

WonderCon was a buzz Saturday with the star power in attendance at many of its various panels and presentations. "X-Files" fans in particular were treated to a truly unique presentation by 20th Century Fox of the second X-Files movie. Director Chris Carter, Writer Frank Spotnitz and leads Gillian Anderson and David Duchovny all flew in from the still in production set in Vancouver to give fans a look at the upcoming feature film. The packed convention hall was full of rabid hooting and hollering X-Files fans all overjoyed to be in the house for this special Q&A. Before the cast was brought ... [Continua a leggere]

WonderCon: X-Files 2

The X-Files are back, not on your television screen (thankfully), but in an all-new, apparently eagerly anticipated, big(ger) budgeted feature-length film. Creator/producer/writer Chris Carter is back, as are David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson reprising their roles as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully, respectively. Also on hand was Frank Spotniz, series writer, producer, and co-writer of the new, as yet untitled (or un-subtitled) sequel. The Wonder-Con audience eagerly cheered the four members of the panel. All four were in town after working yesterday on the still-in-production ... [Continua a leggere]

WonderCon: Mulder and Scully show up! Chris Carter and Frank Spotnitz, too! And they bring news and footage from X-Files 2!!

Ahoy, squirts! Quint here. So, technically this was the 20th Century Fox panel, but it might has well have been called the Fox and Scully hour. That’s what people wanted to see.Poor Thai horror remake SHUTTER, all about spirit photography, was stuck before the big X-FILES 2 panel and even the hot Aussie from TRANSFORMERS and Hiro’s sidekick couldn't make much of a difference. You could feel the audience just politely waiting for that panel to end so the X-FILES panel would start. I’ll give them a little tribute. The footage looked a little crappy, although the usage of real ... [Continua a leggere]

Anderson Finds Scully Again

Gillian Anderson, who reprises the role of FBI agent Dana Scully in the upcoming sequel to The X-Files film, told SCI FI Wire that it took her a while to reacquaint herself with the character she last played in 2002, when the long-running Fox TV series went off the air. Anderson strove over the intervening years to distance herself from the character with which she had been associated for so long to the point that it took her about two days to allow Scully to re-emerge, she said. "It's an interesting conundrum to deal with on a daily basis, and sometimes it's pleasurable, and sometimes it's ju ... [Continua a leggere]
