Domenica 28 Settembre la seconda stagione di Californication arriverà sugli schermi televisivi americani. La promozione della Showtime è partita già da qualche tempo. Infatti, sul sito del canale televisivo statunitense è disponibile già da qualche tempo un gioco dal nome Hanker - Get Hank home to Karen.

Scopo del gioco è appunto quello di portare Hank a casa da Karen, evitando ostacoli come boccali di birra, aperitivi e belle donne.

Sempre riguardo David Duchovny, buone notizie giungono direttamente dagli Stati Uniti. David infatti sarà impegnato sul set di un nuovo film dal titolo The Joneses in cui reciterà a fianco di Demi Moore. Le riprese inizieranno ad Atlanta a metà ottobre. Il film, scritto e diretto da Derrick Borte, racconta la storia di una famiglia (i Joneses), tanto perfetta all'apparenza da essere falsa: i due coniugi in realtà sono due imbroglioni alle prese con truffe e inganni. David Duchovny, Demi Moore, Amber Heard in cast

David Duchovny, Demi Moore and Amber Heard will form the perfect family in "The Joneses," a drama with comedic elements that Derrick Borte is directing from his own script. Gary Cole has also been cast.
Doug Mankoff and Andy Spaulding of Echo Lake are producing along with Kirsti Zea, best known for her longtime work as a production designer for films ranging from "Goodfellas" to "Revolutionary Road." Zea will wear her two hats for the film.

The story, a social commentary, centers on a picture-perfect family that moves into a suburban neighborhood and immediately becomes the toast of the town, loved and envied by all. But the reality is they are a commissioned fake family put together by a marketing company as a way to introduce new luxury-level products to neighborhoods around the world.

Duchovny plays the fake father, a man undergoing a crisis of confidence because he is living a lie.
Moore is the mother, a career-driven woman who struggles with her growing feelings toward her fake husband.
Heard plays the fake daughter who is trying to seduce her fake dad while looking for a rich man.
Cole plays a neighbor.

Peter Principato and Paul Young are executive producing the film, which is eyeing a mid-October start in Atlanta.

Borte began his career as a graphic artist for surf companies like Billabong and acted as an on-air reporter before making the transition to a director of commercial and corporate videos. This is the directorial feature debut for Borte, who is repped by ICM and Principato/Young.

Duchovny, repped by ICM and Affirmative Entertainment, is gearing up for a second season of Showtime's "Californication," which begins Sept. 28.
Moore, repped by CAA and Untitled, recently wrapped the action noir movie "Bunraku" and the ensemble drama "Happy Tears."
Heard, repped by Endeavor and Hyler Management, appeared in "Pineapple Express" and will next be seen in the film adaptation of the Bret Easton Ellis novel "The Informers."
