Gillian Anderson has been appearing on our TV screens rather a lot of late, turning up in NBC's Hannibal and another serial killer series, The Fall, here in the UK. In the Empire Podcast studio to talk about both those shows - as well as a little phenomenon some like to call "The X-Files" - Anderson is frank, funny and slightly forgetful in our hour-long special as she talks about her pub quiz adventures with Simon Pegg, an upcoming project known as 'The Curse Of The Buxom Strumpet' and what X-memorabilia she stole back in the day... ... Gillian Anderson Talks THE FALL, Her Attraction to the Characters, HANNIBAL, CRISIS, Her Desire for Another X-FILES Movie, and More

Featuring a truly terrific performance from Emmy award-winner Gillian Anderson, The Fall is a gripping, intelligent and highly addictive psychological thriller (I watched all five hours in one sitting because it’s so engrossing) that forensically examines the lives of two hunters, one of whom is a serial killer (played by Once Upon A Time star Jamie Dornan) that stalks his victims at random, and the other is a high-powered detective superintendent brought in to catch him.  It is a high-stakes cat-and-mouse game with twists and turns that unfold until the very end. During this recen ... [Continua a leggere]

LOS ANGELES—David Duchovny must be weary of answering questions on the status of the third “The X Files” movie. Still, he answered with his boyish smile in our recent chat, “As I’ve said many times, I’m always willing to do it. I know Gillian (Anderson) is, too. Gillian is about to come here and do a Rand Ravich drama on NBC. So, that can only help—Gillian being high-profile here again. And Chris (Carter, ‘The X-Files’ creator) is around. The X-Files creator Chris Carter has been "writing (a script for a third film) for a while," Anderson said during interviews for the shot-in-Toronto TV series Hannibal, in which she plays a psychothera ... Beneath the surface with David Duchovny of ‘Phantom’

You don’t need to sneak your way into the ancient “X Files.” David Duchovny is an open book when you ask him a highly personal question: Why is it that the gossip always had him feuding with his TV co-star Gillian Anderson? “You tell me why,” Duchovny says with a laugh during a phone interview from his New York home. “We’re great friends. In fact, last year the tabloids had us living together, so maybe we turned the corner. “Some guy passed me on the streets the other day and actually said, ‘Is it true? For as long as I can remember, I have had one passion. It involves two FBI agents, and their tireless search for ‘the truth’. For years we watched them investigate hundreds of bizarre cases – from liver eating mutants through to alien abductions and super soldiers. For those familiar with ”The X-Files” mythology – Series creator Chris Carter’s finale ‘The Truth’ provided a pathway and a date for the final alien invasion that would come with the end of the series movie, which would ultimately finalize the franchise. At a charity event that ... [Continua a leggere]
